Where it Funds
Since the Common Waters Fund is designed to protect drinking water, partners have identified priority areas that are the most important for producing drinking water. These locations have been determined by analyzing several water quality and forestland assessments for the Upper Delaware region. These zones are delineated below. Tier 1 is the highest priority, followed by Tiers 2, 3, and 4. State and federal lands and areas in white are not currently eligible for funding through the Common Waters Fund.
